December 22, 1848

Remaining 1848 journal entries of Mary Brewster will be posted for December 25; 27-31.

Mary Brewster wrote FRIDAY [Dec.] 22nd [1848]: “Wind from NW blowing squalls. Sea rough and weather warmer. Nothing in sight, dull times on board.   LAT. 48.22   LONG. 176.26”

Mary Lawrence’s next journal entries will be posted on December 23-28. After that, for the remaining month of December, there is only one additional entry for December 31, 1859.

Eliza Williams, her husband and their two children, aboard the Florida anchored safely in San Francisco Bay on the afternoon of October 26, 1861; ending a three-year whaling voyage.
