5th October [1848 and 1859]

Mary Brewster, THURSDAY [Oct.] 1848: “The two last days we have had very pleasant weather light airs from WNW smooth sea and weather much warmer.   LAT. 37.33   LONG. 17.54.”

Mary Lawrence, [Wed.] OCTOBER 5 [1859]: “The weather continues the same. After breakfast we made sail for the One Seventy-two Passage. A heavy sea and squalls the same as yesterday.”

Eliza Williams did not make a journal entry for this date in 1861.
