September 26, 1859

Mary Brewster did not make a journal entry for this date in 1848.

Mary Lawrence, [Mon.] SEPTEMBER 26 [1859]: “A strong breeze. Towards noon rather moderated. After dinner lowered for a whale and got fast to him. The boats could not get near him, he being inclined to run; and as there was but one iron [harpoon] in him, that soon came out, making the eighth whale that we have been fast to this season.”

Eliza Williams did not make a journal entry for this date in 1861.
