8th February 1849

Mary Brewster did not make a journal entry for this date in 1848.

Mary Lawrence, [Tue.] FEBRUARY 8 [1859]: “Samuel, Minnie, and myself went on board the Scotland today. Samuel and Captain Weeks went fishing, Got a very few fish and a few birds, Captain Weeks told us that we must talk fast through the day, for he intended to move downstream the next day. I felt very bad to hear it, for we have taken much comfort together; but I suppose we shall all move very soon, as there are no whales taken now.”

Eliza Williams did not make a journal entry for this date in 1861.
