7th October [1858 and 1860]

Mary Brewster did not make a journal entry for this date in 1847.

Mary Lawrence, [Thurs.] OCTOBER 7 [1858]: “We have again beat the Victoria. The Abraham Barker and the Addison have kept very near together for the last twenty-four hours. A fine breeze, and the Sandwich Islands begin to look very near on the chart.”

Eliza Williams, [Mon.] October 7th [1860]: “It has been quite a pleasant day with a good breeze. The Othello is still in sight, so that she has not beat us very badly for a Clipper Ship.”
