September 28, 1860

Mary Brewster did not make any journal entries from Sept. 24-30, 1847.

Mary Lawrence did not make a journal entry for this date in 1858.

Eliza Williams, [Sat.] September 28th [1860]: “It has been a beautiful day but very cold. We are laying quite near the town. We came to anchor yesterday afternoon. There are three Ships in sight and not far off. The boats have just returned to the Ship. My Husband went to the beach to get a load of wood. They did not see Whales until just at night when they saw one, and my Husband came near striking him. Mr. Morgan got some nice fat Ducks and one Partridge, while off.”
