September 16 [1847 and 1858]

Mary Brewster, THURSDAY [Sept.] 16 [1847]: “Went on board of the ship this morning to take a look at the house which is building on deck for my accommodation — was quite pleased with it and think it very nice — was quite pleased with it and think it very nice — had a number of callers this evening. We went out to walk, and wrote a letter.”

Mary Lawrence, [Thurs.] SEPTEMBER 16 [1858]: “Foggy in the morning, but the sun came out occasionally through the day so that we were able to get observations [navigate]. Have seen neither ships nor whales since we have been in Bristol Bay. The whales cannot be where they were last year, or we should occasionally see one.”

Eliza Williams did not make any journal entries from Sept. 13 -16, 1860.
