June 6 [1847 and 1858]

Mary Brewster, Sunday [June] 6th [1847]: “Attended service this morning, had an interesting discourse and I enjoyed the sermon — A goodly number present. This afternoon I have been reading the history of these [Hawaiian] islands.”

Mary Lawrence, [Sun.] JUNE 6 [1858]: “Foggy as usual and a strong breeze. We were all surprised and pained this morning to learn that Minnie’s little kid Billy [goat] was found dead in his house. We think he must have had a fit, as he was well to all appearances last night. It was a sad thing to Minnie, for she dearly loved him, and indeed he was a great pet with us all.   P.M. The weather appears to be clearing and more settled. Hope we may have it pleasant tomorrow, as I have been waiting some time for a good washing day.”

Eliza Williams did not make any journal entries from June 5-13, 1860.
