2nd April 1847

Mary Brewster, FRIDAY APRIL 2nd [1847]: “After breakfast went on board of the ship to get what I needed of my clothes, as the subject is concluded upon and I am to remain at the [Hawaiian] Islands this coming season. In an hour’s time I had my things all ready and left the ship with sad and unpleasant feelings and lingering looks. As the boat pulled away a feeling of great reluctance to leave the ship came over me, thinking when she next sailed My dear companion would be borne from by presence and we should be separated — “

Mary Lawrence did not make any journal entries from March 30-April 5, 1858.

Eliza Williams did not make a journal entry for this date in 1860.
