March 30 [1847 and 1860]

Mary Brewster from Maui, TUESDAY MARCH 30th [1847]: “Passed the day with Mrs. Forbes and had a very pleasant visit. Her health is very feeble and they have made up their minds to start for the United States this coming fall. They have 4 sons one a lad of 16 years of age have been here some 18 years. Had some singing this evening and at half past seven returned.”

Mary Lawrence did not make any journal entries from March 30-April 5, 1858.

Eliza Williams, [Fri.] March 30th [1860]: “Have lowered for Whales twice, but did not get any.  There were quite a number around this morning, but we could not get near. They were going very fast.”
