December 17, 1846

Mary Brewster, THURSDAY [Dec.] 17th [1846]: “Several of the Spaniards have been on board this morning with Oranges, Pomegranates which husband bought. They live about 30 miles from here and bring all their produce on horses. I liked their appearance much, they looked clean and behaved well. An old man brought me a few Olives shells. They are all poor and naturally indolent. Bullocks are all they possess which they like to dispose of in exchange for cloth of any kind.”

Mary Lawrence did not make any journal entries for Dec. 16, 17, 1857.

Eliza Williams did not make any journal entries between Dec. 14-18, 1859.
