November 25 [1846 and 1857]

Mary Brewster, WEDNESDAY [Nov.] 25 [1846]: “Was busy all the morning with my work. This afternoon went fishing with my husband. I caught two. We were gone till towards sunset and caught 7 in all. The bay is full and they are more easily taken with a seine. I enjoy the sport exceedingly and this is the case with all on board. The two ships got underway and went up the bay and we are alone but far from being lonesome.”

Martha Brown’s journal entries ended on Nov. 11, 1848, when she was reunited with her husband who finally returned to Hawaii after being about six weeks overdue.

Mary Lawrence, [Wed.] NOVEMBER 25 [1857]: “One year of our voyage has passed, and we are now commencing the second year of our pilgrimage. May it prove as pleasant to us as the past has been.”

Eliza Williams did not make any journal entries between Nov. 17-25, 1859.
