October 31, 1846

Mary Brewster, SATURDAY [Oct.] 31st [1846]: “Well, rough weather has been ours today with squalls and hard rain also a very bad cross sea and fresh gales all day which I find not as pleasant as the light winds of late I was so weary of. Work has been my amusement to keep me from being lonesome.   LAT. 50.44   LONG. 144.14.”

Martha Brown (1848), Mary Lawrence (1857) and Eliza Williams (1859) did not make any journal entries for this date.
