October 14 [1848 and 1859]

Mary Brewster, SATURDAY [Oct.] 14th [1848]: “Fresh breezes from SE and cold cloudy weather with a heavy swell. The Dartmouth in company to leeward. All hands employed in mending sails through the day. Latter part more pleasant. All sail out.   LAT. 37.6   LONG. 36.35.”

Mary Lawrence, [Fri.] OCTOBER 14 [1859]: “Fine weather today with light winds; making not much progress. I spent some time on deck after dinner. The weather seems much warmer today than it has for some time.”

Eliza Williams did not make any entries between October 14 -25,1861.
